TUTOR SYSTEM

When children enter Year 3, they are assigned a Tutor who is responsible for looking after them and registering them twice a day. The Tutor delivers a weekly PSB session which helps children reflect and take ownership of their learning in order to reach their potential. The Tutor also assists with day-to-day development such as time management, independence, good working habits and guiding children through the sometimes-choppy waters of preadolescence.

The Tutor is the first port of call for the children and their parents, and their aim is to get to know the children and their family as well as they possibly can. At Walhampton, relationships matter, and Tutors play an integral part in this by supporting children through their academic endeavours, sporting accomplishments, musical performance and everything in between.
