Year 6 made the news at Sky Studios in London
Last week Year 6 made the news at Sky Studios in London.
Using four dedicated suites of cameras and editing equipment they made reports on the climate crisis and body image. This involved them working as a team with each person being given a role as a scriptwriter, editor, director, camera operator, presenter, reporter or subject expert.
Highlights of the day included watching live news being broadcast, chatting with a presenter and enjoying seeing the cool media items at the Sky Campus.
Here are some of the pupils highlights from the day:
Emie: My favourite part of the day was when we went into the costume room. It was really cool to see what type of costumes Sky used, as well as watching other people's news reports!
Billy: using a 80,000 pound camera
Martha H: My favourite part of the day was going to the sky sports studio and look at were
it was filmed.
Tawana: I really enjoyed seeing the sky sports studio and then the reporter came out and spoke
to us.
Ned N: My favourite part of the day was when wegot to watch the full video and everybody was so
excited to see it and see their scene.
Mya: wearing a wig when I was a news presenter and it fell off.
Behind the scenes videos from their visits are on this link.
