On Monday evening we were treated to an amazing musical performance starring 130 children from across the school, as part of their ‘Christmas Cracker’ concert. The children’s passion for music was clear and they all had smiles on their faces as they wore their Santa hats with pride.

Highlights of the evening were the atmospheric performances of ‘Follow that Star’ (Year 5), and ‘Walking in the Air’ (Year 6). The finale was also a lot of fun with fantastic audience participation to ‘The Holly and the Ivy’; the encore of ‘I’m a little Christmas Cracker’ - accompanied by a surprise confetti cannon - finished off the evening with a bang!

We were also treated to some special news that our new Chapel Choir had made it through to the finals of two competitions: the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition, held in February at the Birmingham Symphony Hall; and the prestigious Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in July 2023. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
