HOW TO FIND US
Walhampton is situated on the B3054 in the beautiful New Forest National Park, just outside Lymington on the Hampshire coast between Bournemouth and Southampton.
Walhampton is within an hour’s drive time of Bournemouth, Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton. And approximately 45 minutes from Southampton International Airport and 90 minutes drive of London Heathrow Airport (by taxi).
Travelling to Walhampton
By Car
For all satellite navigation systems, please use our postcode SO41 5ZG.
This will bring you to the School’s front entrance which is marked clearly with signs saying “Walhampton”. Please follow the one way system slowly through the gates, and you will see the the Main Building of the Prep School in front of your, or keep going further along the drive for the Pre-Prep entrance.
From the London, M3 or the north. Please follow the M27 to Junction 1 (Cadnam/The New Forest) and then follow the A337 through Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst to Lymington.
Another option is to leave the M27 at Junction 3, then take the M271 to Totton, then the A326 towards Fawley then the Beaulieu Road through Beaulieu to Hatchet Pond where you’ll fork left on the B3054 to Lymington.
By Ferry
Connections with the Isle of Wight are served by the WightLink Ferry Port where a car ferry runs from Lymington to Yarmouth (journey time 30 minutes).
Walhampton is approximately 10 minutes from the ferry terminal (by taxi).
By Train
The most convenient station for Walhampton is Brockenhurst (on average 2 hours direct train service from London Waterloo).
Brockenhurst station is served by the mainline from Weymouth to London Waterloo with access to Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth and Poole, as well as connecting services from Reading, Oxford and Birmingham.
The School is approximately 10 minutes from Brockenhurst station (by taxi).
